Annual Nigerian National Committee (UWC) Scholarship Award / Selection Process 2023 guidelines;
For its 2023 Scholarship award, the Nigerian National Committee for the United World Colleges (UWC) is presently accepting applications from appropriately qualified people.

For a small number of need-based scholarship awards and fee-paying spots in some United World Colleges (UWCS), the Nigerian National Committee for the United World Colleges (UWC) is presently accepting applications from suitably qualified Nigerian individuals for enrolment in September 2023.

We choose bright, motivated students from all over the world and equip them with the information, abilities, and self-assurance they need to make a difference.

Qualification Standards for UWC Scholarship Awards

  • Candidates must have completed the Senior School Certificate (SSC) or GCE O’Levels, or their recognized equivalent, and must have exhibited exceptional academic ability.
  • Additionally, exceptional SS3 pupils may apply based on their two years of continuous evaluation.
  • The age range for applicants is 16 to 17 years (birth certificate required)
  • Along with their application, candidates must provide an essay and the principal’s endorsement.

Date, Method, and Location of the Interview for the UWC Scholarship Award

Shortlisted candidates had previously been invited to the Sea School in Apapa, Lagos for a rigorous selection process.

The National Committee will closely monitor the situation in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and decide how to execute the selection process in December 2022 in order to protect the participants’ lives and health.

To apply, visit the Nigerian National Committee Annual (UWC) page at www.ng.uwc.org.

Candidates from any public school who are nominated by the school may pay a reduced charge of N1,000.00 (ten thousand naira only) in lieu of the application cost of N10,000.00 (ten thousand naira only) that is due upon submission of the application (One Thousand Naira only). Payment is accepted in the form of a bank draft made on any Nigerian bank in the name of the Nigerian National Committee for the United World Colleges (for account information, call 09011221956 or text 07011397295). Alternately, you can pay using our website’s Flutterwave Payment Gateway at www.ng.uwc.org.
